Since the late 50's Bill Powell was dabbling in art and sculpture. Even at this early stage his entrepreneurial skills were promoting fellow artists. It started out with street art shows and concerts. As his business acumen grew he opened coffeehouses, art galleries, published magazines, organized craft shows, festivals and touring exhibits.
For 25 years Bill Powell created and ran the nationally recognized art extravaganza, the Festival of Friends.
